To advance ITC’s 2015 Vision for global reach and impact, Dr. Ronald E. Peters embarked on a mission to South Africa in late July 2012. This trip marked the beginning of plans to expand ITC’s presence in Southern and Western Africa, Haiti, Germany and Japan over the next two years. This trip also provided an opportunity to visit, promote and support leaders who were significant in the advancement of civil rights in South Africa. The mission was led by ITC’s president but included a delegation of ambassadors from ITC to Johannesburg and Cape Town on July 22, 2012. Members of the delegation included Dr. Johnny Hill, Dean, Baptist School of Theology, Dr. Adrienne Johnson, CEO of Infinity Global Connections, four students and two administrators. The ITC delegation was there to support the launch of the Certificate Program hosted by My Father’s House Christian Fellowship Church in Melville, where senior pastor Rev. Robert H. Kelley will coordinate site program operations. ITC’s presence during this important milestone will foster relationships while encouraging greater visibility and awareness.

This exciting time in the history of ITC was punctuated by meetings that ITC President had at several respected and well-known venues in South Africa. They included the University of Pretoria, the Desmund Tutu HIV/Aids Foundation and JL Zwame Memorial Church where he was invited to be the guest preacher. Future plans include a trip to Japan later this year. For more information about ITC’s Certificate Program in Theology, please contact Ms. Susie Caswell at 404-527-7766.
